An adventurer for Rakhine youths






A person who is working for youth development, Mr. Aung Myint Thu was born in 1990, in a small island, in Rakhine state of Myanmar. When he was 16 years old, he went to Thailand alone from difficulties for his better education. He studied and worked for youth development in Refugee camp (Civil war) which is in Thai-Myanmar Border. He got a lot of knowledge and experiences from there. After 6 years later, he came back to Myanmar and he started local supporting organization "Manaung Youth Networking Group ( MYNG ). One years later, he got one year full - scholarship at Kant Kaw Education Center. This school gave him an opportunity to work at Empowerment Program for Parliamentarians (EPP). He was an English teacher (Elementary / Pre - intermediate) for one year - 2013 - 2014 there. And he worked with a noble prize winner, Daw Aung San Su Kyi and some top general directors. In 2015, he started to build his mother- organization and he became a well-known young man in Rakhine state. He was invited by some media organization to support them. He became a youth leader. He got some invitation letters from Cambodia, Indonesia and Thailand for community development dialogue.He met some leaders from over the world. In 2018, he was invited from International Peace Youth Group (IPYG), a global youth network group made of youth who are longing for world pace(https://www.ipyg.kr/) to give a speak at Global Conference in Korea. He met more than 20 former presidents and most important person of the world there. After that, he was more popular and he was again invited by IPYG in 2019. He opened online class (World online English Class) as one year. And then, he has established English School (+Change Maker) in his hometown for Arakan youth. It is not just only English class but also youth development school as a community college. There are young people from different township of Rakhine state as students. He is always working for Rakhine youth development. He is an adventurer for Rakhine youths.

I am Chit Su Khin from Rakhine state, formerly known as Arakan is a state in Myanmar. It is located on the west coast of Myanmar and border of Bangladeshi. Rakhine state has some of the prettiest places in the world- the Napali coastline and Mrauk-Oo pagodas trying to be a UNESCO World Heritage Site. Corona virus and Rakhine refugees IDPs

Corona virus disease (CONVID-19) is an infectious diseases caused by a newly discovered corona virus. It is easy to spread. Every countries in the world are facing with this virus. They are trying to protect this virus. Myanmar also faces with this virus. Myanmar government is doing lockdown to public to protect corona virus. But according to RECEIVE(Rakhine Ethnics Congress), there are 151 refugee camps in Rakhine state because of civil wars. More than 160,000 people are staying there as refugees IDPs. Myanmar government is shutting down internet in Rakhine State. Many Rakhine public are staying together in refugee camps. They have no internet. So they can't know about the world related with CONVID-19. They don't know CONVID-19 know how to protect this virus. Many people are living together the same place and they can't know how to protect CONVID-19. It is very dangerous time for them related with corona virus. So we must think for Rakhine refugees IDPs.

Future Rakhine

Rakhine will become one of the top richest region in the future if the local goverment has decision making power because of Geography, Natural resources and economy. Rakhine state is a coastal geographic region in southern Myanmar. It comprises a long, narrow strip of land along the eastern coast of the Bay of Bengal and stretches from the Nāf estuary on the border of the Chittagong Hills area (in Bangladesh) in the north to the Gwa River in the south. The Arakan region is about 400 miles (640 km) long from north to south and is about 90 miles (145 km) wide at its broadest. The Arakan Yoma, a range that forms the eastern boundary of the region, to some extent isolates it from the rest of southern Myanmar.The coast has several sizable offshore islands, including Cheduba and Ramree.
