A father of Marketing, Professor Philip Kotler
People know as a father of marketing, Philip Kotler is an American marketing author, consultant and professor. He was born in Chicago Illinois, United States on May 27,1931. His parents are Maurice Kotler and Betty Kotler. He has two brother, Milton and Neil Kotler. Philip's wife is Nancy Kellum and they married in 1955. They have three daughters, Amy, Melissa and Jessica and nine grandchildren. He studied at DePaul University, University of Chicago and Massachusetts Institute of Technology. He started teaching marketing in 1962 at the Kellogg School of Management, Northwestern University. He gave the definition of marketing mix. He believed marketing was an essential part of economics. He wrote more than 80 books about marketing.His latest work focuses on economic justice and the shortcomings of capitalism. He was invited to be the first legend in marketing.
